    What is a dowel machine?

    A dowel in woodworking is a wooden rod, cut into short length. Dowels are often used for joints between two pieces of timber, i.e. in furniture manufacturing for reinforcement. The joint they make is strong since dowels are relatively thick (thicker than nails or screws).
