Used FORD 3000 TractorThe Ford 3000 tractor was manufactured from 1965 to 1975. It was one of the "Thousand Series" tractors designed to replace the "Prior" or "Hundred Series" Fords. Ford 3000 was first produced by Ford in Highland Park, MI, USA, and then built in Basildon, England. It was selling for $6,300 in 1975. The purchase of a used Ford 3000 could be an attractive investment if you are starting a small-scale farm and looking fir cheap used tractors for sale or if you need a tractor to carry out chores.
The Ford 300 engine is a 3-cylinder engine of 47 horsepower. There are two versions of this engine: one running on regular gasoline, the Ford 2,6L 3-cylinder gasoline engine, and one designed for diesel fuel, the Ford 2,9L 3-cylinder diesel engine.
The Ford model 3000 has a manual transmission with three optional transmissions: 4 speeds, 8 speeds or 10 speeds forward and 1 reverse speed. Without any attachment, the 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive models weigh 3,700 pounds (1678 kg) and the wheelbase is 75.8 inches (192 cm). Standard front tires were 5.5x16 and two options were available for the rear tires: 13.6x28 or 14.9x24.
