The history of the company FLEXI Narrow Aisle Ltd

The company has its beginnings in Bilston in 1976. A year later its Rotareach Lateral Stacker was already featured on “Tomorrow's World”, a program on the BBC. Starting as a niche developer FLEXI gained quick renown and introduced new models almost annually until 1980. With a growing base of customers FLEXI was able to expand and open a new production site in Great Bridge, Tipton in 1987. FLEXI Generation 1 went into serial production in 1991 in order to offer clients more efficient operating cycles based on a two meter aisle capability. With its 1.8 meter aisle capability, FLEXI Generation 2 provided even more space saving capacity in 1998 and FLEXI Generation 4 topped this with a 1.75 meter stacking aisle, True Radius® turning, its capacity to reach heights beyond 10 meters and a HiVIS twin post overhead guard. The 4th generation of FLEXI forklifts is generally considered a ground breaking innovation within the industry. In 2002, FLEXI was introduced to the American and Asian markets and a production site was established in Taiwan. By 2011, FLEXI was part of the entire European market as well as the markets of South Asia, South Africa and Korea. At that point international sales made up for 50 percent of the company's turnover.

Main Products

FLEXI manufactures space saving articulated forklift trucks for a variety of conditions. The production focuses on narrow aisle forklift trucks with loading capacities between 1350 kg to 2.5 tonnes and lift heights between 1.6 – 10.5 meters.
