SCHENK

German firm SCHENK specializes in manufacturing  machining centres and tools for industrial companies, and offers a full range of consulting, planning and production services for clients.

Manufacturing machine tools to order since 1936

SCHENK Werkzeug- und Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG is a German manufacturer of clamping systems, metal transport equipment and machine tools for the  metal working sector. SCHENK was founded back in 1936 in the town of Schwäbisch Gmünd, but it really grew rapidly during the 1960s and 1970s. By 1974, the firm could unveil one of the world's most advanced systems for the transportation of liquid metal, before in 1984 following this up with the introduction of advanced clamping systems for CNC machining centres. The 1990s saw further innovations, including the installation of revolutionary new assembly lines for cladding materials, while the 2000s found SCHENK acquiring strategic firms to build up its product portfolio. This has allowed the firm to offer a suite of services to manufacturers that are seeking to make their processes as efficient as possible. The firm does this by collaborating closely with all partners to seek effective solutions. SCHENK is also part of the far larger Gansler Group, which includes KMF, Ziegler, Hester and HG+ as well as SCHENK. This allows the firm to offer a far broader range of expertise and products when advising manufacturers about the optimum use of their resources. Customer service is a priority for SCHENK, with the firm operating a 24 hours per day hotline and taking a full role in the planning of any project. After installation, the company's technicians also carry out training and documentation exercises to make sure that client's get the most out of their purchases. The firm specializes in making special purpose machinery for each client, and has no specific area of industry with which it partners. Any organization that carries out precise manufacturing processes would be a suitable partner.
